A few weeks ago, we received a request from a client. The customer required a product with high mechanical strength and electrical conductivity on one side. The product must also meet one side's flame retardancy, weather resistance, and insulation.
After many discussions between the R&D and technical departments, we decided to use one graphite coating, one silica gel coating, and E-glass fiberglass fabric as the base fabric. After calculation, this double-sided coating product can fully meet customers' needs.
After communication, we got to know that the customer was delighted with our solution, so we started experimenting. After many attempts, we adjusted the production line's flow and completed the product's final form.
The following graphite silicone-coated fiberglass fabrics have been tested and fully meet customer requirements. The graphite layer can withstand temperatures up to 5400°F (2980°C) and work typically in an environment under 5 kV DC.
